Based on a survey of n=1340 parents of tweens and teens aged 11–16 who would be open to considering orthodontic treatment if recommended by their dentist or orthodontist, who were asked the question: “Which of the following orthodontic treatments would you prefer for your tween or teenager age 11–16?” and were shown images and a short description of treatment options. Examples of functional appliances are Twin Block and Herbst. Parents were surveyed from the following countries: USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, France, Italy, Spain, China, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.
