This page introduces the Invisalign® Palatal Expander system and the two main products it seamlessly connects with to transform your growing patient treatments: Invisalign First™ and the iTero Lumina™ scanner. You can see more details in their product sessions on the Invisalign Doctor Site, accessed via the links below.
Invisalign® Palatal Expander System
The new Invisalign® Palatal Expander System is the world's most innovative palatal expander, offering a revolutionary, clinically-effective1 approach to skeletal expansion.
- Clinically effective1, Invisalign Palatal Expander treatment delivers mid-palatine suture expansion2.
- A great patient experience and excellent compliance1. With Invisalign® Palatal Expander, there is less pain and anxiety3 for your patients and their parents. It can be worn while eating and remove to brush teeth for a better oral hygiene.3
- Simplified workflow thanks to integration with an iTero intraoral scanner. Combined with Invisalign First™ aligners the system provides doctors with a full early intervention treatment solution, including both skeletal and dental arch expansion.
Invisalign First™
Little smiles deserve a treatment designed just for them. Invisalign® First™ is the first clear aligner product designed with features specifically for your younger patients’ unique orthodontic needs.4
Together with Invisalign Palatal expander and iTero Lumina scanner, it provides a complete, integrated solution for your growing patients.
- Great treatment results: Treats simple to complex cases, recommended by orthodontists for growing children,5 with technology designed to deliver beautiful smiles.
- A better treatment experience: Provides better quality of life6 and a more comfortable4 process for patients, does not interfere with speech7 and comes with fewer food restrictions.
- Practice differentiator: Invisalign orthodontists agreed that offering Invisalign First treatment will grow their practice8 and save chair time by minimising the need for multiple appliances during Phase 1 treatment.9
iTero Lumina™
The iTero Lumina™ scanner pushes the boundaries of what intraoral scanners can do, thanks to iTero Multi-Direct Capture™ technology. With effortless scanning and superior visualisation,10 it sets a new standard for practice performance.
The iTero Lumina intraoral scanner’s Multi-Direct Capture technology, with its wider field of view,11 large capture distance12 and multi-angle capture,13 is designed to simplify the capture of challenging areas like the palate, edentulous spaces, partially erupted teeth and crowded teeth. A majority of surveyed users agreed that the iTero Lumina intraoral scanner enables faster and easier scans of children and teenagers.14
- High-quality clinical decisions. Achieve photorealistic scans that enable high-quality clinical decisions the same way intraoral photos do,15 through larger data capture, high accuracy,16 and new advanced software.
- Practice efficiency & profitability. Scan effortlessly at twice the speed17 with an exceptionally wide field of view and capture distance, enabling minimal manoeuvring that sets a new level of ergonomics and comfort. Plus, eliminate the need for intraoral photos15 in patient record-taking and Invisalign® case submission.
- Elevated patient comfort & engagement. Offer a more comfortable experience for adults, kids and teens alike, with a 50% smaller wand18 and increased scanning speed. Plus, enhance patient engagement and motivation10 with exceptional 3D model quality15 across all visualisations and simulations.
- Easy communication with parents: The scan report is immediately accessible with QR code on iTero screen, chairside.
Please note that some products may not be available in all markets - also based on regulatory approval. Check availability with your local sales representative.
